Pitra Dosh Nivaran Mantra: Om Sarv Pitra Devatabhyo Namah.
पितृ दोष निवारण मंत्र: Om सर्व पितृ देवताभ्यो नमः।

Meaning: समस्त देवताओं, पितरों, महायोगियों, स्वधा एवं स्वाहा सबको हम नमस्कार करते हैं यह सब शाश्वत फल प्रदान करने वाले हैं।
We pray to all Gods, ancestors, saints, Swadha and Swaha. May They shower us with their blessings.

Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja is a very auspicious and meritorious puja. Here the word Pitru or Pitra denotes the father and his ancestry. Pitra Dosh or Pithru Dosha denotes the bad karma or wrongdoing created by their ancestors of the paternal side while living in the past. This puja ritual purifies all the wrongdoing and helps them rest in peace with their souls freed. The Shradh puja or Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja should be performed amid Pitru Paksha period amid the Krishna Paksha fortnight in the month of Ashwin.
